Notes:
I
was sent to Southern California for work for a large part of 2009,
and 2010 Huntington Beach Beer Company was my favorite of the
Breweries I visited while here. The red was my favorite is the brews,
closer to a brown it was full flavored and malty, very enjoyable.
The
garlic french fries were ridiculous. I can't imagine how bad they are
for you, but they were so delicious, cheesy and garlicy and
wonderful. The vegetarian options weren't disappointing, the Mushroom
Pizza was good and the Surf City Penne was great.
On
a Friday night, this place gets packed. I brought my boyfriend here
while he was visiting and we sat on the deck (which was a great place
to sit), it wasn't too crowded when we got there but by the time we
were getting ready to leave the place was crammed. I went in to use
the bathroom and it took 20 minutes to get less than 100 feet to the
restrooms, when I came back there was a guard in front of the balcony
doors who informed me that I couldn't go out there until somebody
else came in because it was at capacity. He let me out when I told
him, my boyfriend and sweatshirt were out there and if I was going to
pay my bill I would need to be as well. I never saw it that packed
again, at lunch and at dinner on other nights, it was perfectly
reasonable.
